The past year has been one of transformative growth for Vanelton Media. From our roots in Vanelton Gamedev, we have rapidly evolved into a comprehensive digital ecosystem, spanning Vanelton AI, Vanelton Console, Vanelton AppHub, and Vanelton Labs. This expansion necessitates a paradigm shift in how we approach user rights, data protection, and community standards.
We are proud to announce the finalization of our comprehensive Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, effective January 01, 2026. These documents are not mere updates; they represent a complete overhaul of our legal governance, specifically designed to support the complexity and global reach of our diverse new services, all while placing digital trust and user control at the forefront.
The New Standard for Digital Trust
Our new policies are engineered to operate seamlessly across our entire spectrum of offerings, ensuring clarity whether you are a developer utilizing the Vanelton Console or a user enjoying a Volcam Studios game. This robust framework is built on two core principles: unwavering compliance and proactive transparency.
We affirm our strict adherence to the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018). By formally identifying VANELTON MEDIA SOFTWARE LTDA as the definitive Data Controller, we solidify our legal obligations and provide a clear point of accountability for all users.
Key Evolution in the Terms of Service
The updated Terms of Service introduce clarity, tighten security, and, most importantly, formalize our commitment to being a force for positive social change—the Vanelton Media Standard.
1. The Vanelton Media Standard: Commitment to Inclusivity and Safety
This is a defining change. We have formalized our proactive stance on social justice and user safety. Section 4.1 of the new Terms introduces a binding Commitment to Inclusivity, Safety, and Social Justice. We actively seek to protect minorities and integrate social context into our service management. This means zero tolerance for hate speech, discrimination, harassment (especially targeting women, children, and adolescents), or any severe “lack of common sense” within our services or associated external communities.
2. Clarity on Commercial vs. Non-Commercial Use
We now explicitly define which services are intended for personal use and which are available for commercial activity (Section 4.3).
- Commercial Use: Services like the Developer Platform (Vanelton Console) and Vanelton Open Labs (open-source projects) are authorized for commercial deployment.
- Non-Commercial Use: By default, all Vanelton Labs (early access/experimental tools) are reserved solely for personal, non-commercial use, protecting the integrity of these developmental programs.
3. Enhanced Account Security and Control
To protect the integrity of the Vanelton ID ecosystem, we have strictly prohibited the sharing of account credentials and the use of a single Vanelton ID by multiple individuals or organizations, particularly for accessing Developer solutions (Section 3.2).
4. Geographical Constraints
To manage regulatory complexity, the new Terms explicitly list several Unsupported Jurisdictions (Section 15.1), providing absolute clarity on where we cannot guarantee service access due to operational, legal, or political constraints.
A Transparent Approach to Privacy and Data
Our new Privacy Policy is built around transparency, especially regarding our data strategy, which is critical for developing advanced features like Vanelton AI and personalized experiences.
1. Transparent Data Monetization Strategy
We are now completely transparent about our reliance on data. The Policy clearly states that data collection and analysis are used to generate aggregated and anonymized insights, which form a key part of our data business strategy (Section 3 and 4). This shift from vague usage statements to explicit acknowledgement of data monetization is a cornerstone of our commitment to honesty.
2. Deepening Data Collection Specificity
To power our next-generation AI and anti-fraud systems, we now explicitly list advanced types of automatically collected data (Section 3.2), including:
- Behavioral Patterns: Detailed records of interaction, such as scroll speed, detailed typing rhythm (keystroke dynamics for security), and mouse movements.
- Sensor Data: Data directly collected from device sensors like the accelerometer and gyroscope to detect movement and orientation for application functionality.
3. Rigorous Children’s Privacy and International Transfers
- Child Protection: We have significantly strengthened our provisions regarding children’s privacy (Section 4.1), formalizing the minimum age of 13 for a Vanelton ID and emphasizing verifiable parental consent for child-directed services, in compliance with LGPD and COPPA-like standards.
- Global Data Flow: The Policy clearly outlines that data may be transferred to datacenters in the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands. Notably, we reserve the right to block the transmission or storage of data for non-US users to US datacenters due to internal risk analysis and political considerations, reinforcing user data sovereignty (Section 6).
4. Efficient Data Deletion
We are setting a firm service standard: upon confirmed request for account deletion, we commit to the permanent and irreversible removal of your personal data within a maximum period of fifteen (15) business days (Section 7).
Ready for the Next Chapter
These updates ensure that our legal foundation is as advanced and forward-thinking as our technology. They underscore our dedication to digital safety, integrity, and user empowerment.
We strongly encourage all users to review the full, final documents to understand how these policies apply to your continued use of Vanelton ID, Vanelton AI, Vanelton Console, and all related Services.
The future of digital governance is built on clarity. We thank you for joining us in this next chapter.
